Do I Need a Professional Wedding Mc?

Friends Vs The Professional MC

We all have that friend that is funny, confident, good at organizing, and dear to us. For HECK SAKE let your fun friend have FUN.

No shocks here… I am that friend, I know what it’s like to be asked to be MC. In the past I have said ‘yes’, then the whole night regretted it as I constantly checked the time, counted my drinks, chatted to the weird old uncles who secretly wanted the job… It's exhausting. And let's be honest, it's scary speaking about people you love infront of people you love so even the most confident of friends WILL feel nervous.

Now… I say NO. I mean unless you're paying me…

Why? Well because it's a BIG job. Pulling off a seamless wedding is near impossible, let alone trying to do it without a seasoned professional holding the reins. There is so much that happens behind the scenes at a wedding. So many wheels in motion that you really don't know about until it's YOUR wedding.

If you don't want to be the one making sure all those wheels are rolling in the right direction and don’t want to give that job to your friend, LET ME!

I will clock on before rocking up on the day by helping you to create the perfect run sheet. I will share with you all my insights to ensure it includes everything to make the day run smoothly and feel authentically you. Then while you and your guests are enjoying themselves I will be in the background making sure all your vendors are on track and working as a dream team, speakers are ready and introduced with gusto, drunk aunties are at bay, everyone has full tummies, transitions are seamless and there are smiles on faces and most importantly you (and your fun friend) can RELAX!

If you need any more convincing let me ask you these questions…

How long should you give each person to speak?

What are the logistics around cake cutting and first dance?

How do people know where and when to go places?

What if catering is running late or the run sheet changes with weather?

I know ALL the answers. Do you?
